First topic message reminder :

Trying again. My first post went spinning off the tracks like a runaway train. Bad Karma? hope not, but maybe two first posts will show up.

I'm John from Ontario. I am going to try a daily greeting thread with this board and see how it goes. Very low key, but sincere, no groundbreaking PD news, just heartfelt encouragement.

My Wife and I drove to Ottawa on the weekend. (250 kms there) Strange city, driving, and restaraunts bring out tremors. We had a great time: visited, had dinners, walked, did museums with my son and wife who live there. Saturday nite we went to an "Irish Pub" and I had a yummy shepherds pie and a bottle of Killkenny. Your beer makes our beer taste like soda pop.

I hope everybody has a good and safe day. Be strong, John

Which century are you in jb?

Can't speak for the Irish lasses but things have moved on a bit where I come from Laughing

You'd have starved to death by now if you'd depended on moi!

But u r right about the sexy Irish accents, particularly the Kilkenny one cat

Ah, the Irish accents are sexy for sure, you all would sound like poets melting my heart if only I could hear you. But it is well known that only a Canadian man coming in the door, late, with muddy boots and the smell of sweat about him; saying "Hi honey, what is for supper," can cause a wife to flush red with love and passion as she hurries to him with a cold pint and slippers and the paper and kind words and I should be writing fairy tales, they are more believable hahaha!

I would love to hear you all.

have good days, jb

Ha, that is a funny one Marie. My brother likes to talk like him when he is goofing around and every other word is bjorning or some such thing. He can make himself sound very Scandinavian.

The sap has run a bit. So far I have hauled in about 160 gallons of it. I will likely start to boil tomorrow. I would so Love to feed you all pancakes and fresh syrup.

I will have to meet you guys at Echo Beach cause I'm tied up tomorrow with the Maple Sugar Bush.

Today I drilled in 65 taps. That is about half of them. There will be a day when I can get to Echo Beach.
