After about half a day my name was finally called, and in I went to see the doc a big tall man in a white coat (a professer no less)and after a quuestions and answers session the examanation began.Well they turned me this way they turned me that way they turned my arms they turned my legs and I swear if I had of stood in the one place long enough they would have turned me inside out. Then came the walk this way walk that way walk down that corridor and mind you after my earlier adventures with corridors I was not amused.I'll tell you now if there was a plank handy they would have made me walk it and thats a fact. But to crown all out the doc(and him a professer)says to me I'm going to try and knock you down but dont you let me, now who in their right minds would let someone knock them down if they could help it atal. Then this wee fella who looked about 12 came in and says i'm a pd nurse and you know what that wee fella has been my lifeline many a day since (thanks Brian) Then came the tablets some made me as sick as a dog and some made me sleep like a log and they even gave me a sticky plaster to wear. Now I know this story wont make sense to everybody but to anyone suffering from pd it will ring a bell or 2 I hope you enjoy it and mabey even get a laugh Lucy

After what seemed like two days on the bus we finally reached the hospital and began our search for the neurology dept, and let me tell you that was a trial and a half. There we were like two idiots up one corridor and down the same corridor. Hi says he I think it might be this way. God of Almighty says I sure we went that way 20 minutes ago. Hold on says he I'm going to ask this woman, but with our luck was she not a foreigner with hardly two words of english but fair play to the woman she did her leval best to help us. So we smiled at her and she smiled at us, and we thanked her and she thanked us and off me and him went in the direction she gave us, and where did we end up but out in the street I could not beleive it.Well the sweat was lashing of me and my face was as red as the coat I was wearing. Well we finally made it to neurology and there was about 1000 people in front of us but do you know this I did not give one monkeys dam I was just glad to get sitting down.
To be continued when I sleep for about 2 weeks

Hello everybody I'm going to tell you a story about myself and this tour I'm on with parkinsons. Many moons ago I went to the doctor. I says doctor you wouldnt take a look at my right leg it feels as if theres a bag of coal tied on to the end of it and it and me shoe has a fight every morning cause me shoe dosent want to go on. So he done all the usual tests and on my 40th birthday I was sitting in a specialists office not knowing if I would see 41 now wasent that a good present. He made an appointment with the neurologist in Dublin. I thought I was grand until people started asking me why I had the limp so from then on I tried to walk without a limp which was very hard to do when you dident know you had one in the first place. Anyway 5 months later meself and himself headed off to Dublin on the bus me with a list of symptoms as long as your arm and himself with a pocketful of sleeping tablets to make sure he would sleep on the journey. Well that day it was a case of me watching him instead of him watching me.A month later he confessed he took an extra one just to be on the safe side Well that night me and him had words that were not fit for the ears of man woman or beast

To be continued when I get over my bad mood
