I have never been angry (mabey i am ignoring it hoping it will go away)My way of coping is accept the things you cannot change and do your best to live a half normal life. When I am out and about I see people worse off than myself, and a person has said to me " if I was like you I would not go outside the door" but she was really not beign hatefull.

Cathy you caught me on a good day. If I am tired or stressed my Parkinson's is worse, so I am finding I have to behave!

What can I say that will make any difference to your situation? Not a lot, except that I have been there and then some. The anger never leaves me, and despite my good fortune with DBS, I cannot look very far into the future because Parkinson's does not stop getting worse after DBS so it will catch up again. Fingers crossed for something else available by then.

I spend a lot of my time looking in neurology related websites including journals - medical journals, with the help of a med dictionary. Looking for hope...

One positive - the friends I have made from all walks of life, people who have touched my heart in many ways, most with Parkinson's, but not all...

Welcome! It is up to you to start the ball rolling - and hopefully we will get plenty of debate on all aspects of dealing with Parkinson's.

To start, my user name is currently "Admin" - will change that soon! I have been walking the road with Parkinson's now for 12 years, with ups and downs along the way. I won't bore you with the details, but the one thing I have learned during those often difficult times was that the more you know about Parkinson's and the various treatment options, and the sooner you join a support group, the better your life with Parkinson's -the unwelcome guest - will be.

Very Happy
