I would say most people with pd attend their gp anyway with their queries. I know people with pd who were at a neuro once and have attended their gp since. I suppose it's just what you feel happy doing yourself.

Considering the shortage of neurologists would it not be a good idea to enable GPs to treat Parkinsons?

Same here Ann..My GP would also be supportive but neurologist would make final decision on any changes, on condition, meds.

Good question - anyone know of a GP interested in Parkinson's?? Most people seem to get sent straight to a consultant so I don't know of any GPs. My own GP is supportive but would not consider himself an authority.Question
