Ems, when I get dragged back, when off meds etc I take a step back and no matter how often I try to hold firm the foot always betrays me.
On the other hand, on meds and DBS I just sway when pulled back. Guess it is an indicator of balance issues and/or meds??

Hey Doyler, Ems

I too have had the balance test where they try to shove you over with your eyes closed. In the past he has had me close my eyes and being curious I peeked: I have caught him making rude gestures, surfing the net, having a nip of vodka, leaving the room, adjusting his wig, and lifting my wallet from my pocket. So the last time when he pushed me backward, I was ready: I leaned ahead into his face and pushed back, he tried pushing me again and I faked to the left, and he pushed on by, I tripped him up with my foot and caught him, twirled him around and put him in a headlock and bopped him on the noggin and told him to quit pushing.
Not really, but wouldn't that surprise him. The only truth above is that I have been pushed while my eyes are closed. Closing your eyes makes it harder to balance so it makes the test more effective as to how well we can balance.
If it didn't hurt you Doyler, I agree with your wife, landing on the Doctor would of been funny.

Good to see you posting DP.

Jb

Thanks EMS, I was just wondering why everytime I go for my visits I am asked to close my eyes. Everytime I do I end up falling. You'd think they know at this stage. On a funnier note the first time I was asked to close my eyes I did so and was grabbed from behind by the doc and ended up on the floor right on top of the doc on the floor. My wife thought it was very funny l Very Happy

This may seem like a silly question but I was wondering why everytime I go to the Doctors for check up he asks me to stand up and close my eyes. Everytime it has the same result, me falling on my ear lol. Can anyone tell me why he asks me to do that?
