I don't know much about this but they also inspect and check up on you, and like everything else the inspectors vary in their attitude from place to place. One guy was out in his adapted car when the inspector called and asked to see him. WHEN HIS WIFE SAID HE WAS OUT THE INSPECTOR SAID THAT IF HE WAS ABLE TO GO OUT HE DIDN'T NEED A BATHROOM CONVERSION!! The same inspector had obviously never heard the guy describe crawling on hands and knees up the stairs to the bathroom on occasion, and knew sweet FA about Parkinson's.
Social Welfare have a book called "Rights and Entitlements for People with Disabilities" and it may well be online. Good and lots of information.
