Hi Mick73 ~ I haven't experienced an all-over itch, but do have a great deal of itchiness under and around the patch while on, and for days after removal. I end up scratching the area constantly even to the point of bleeding. My Dr. prescribed Desoximetasone Cream, USP 0.25%. I got it at my (US) pharmacy for free. That might have been a mistake but at least my first cost me nothing to try. It helps my skin a great deal, but not entirely. My feelings are: better to itch than twitch & b****. I use Neupro for severe RLS and it helps tremendously :-) Good luck!

Hi Mike and welcome to the forum.

I am on the Patch for three years, I do not have any problem of itchiness with the Patch, if it does not stick well and I try to keep it on with sticky tape the tape makes me very itchy. I would imagine if the patch is causing itchiness all over your body then you must be allergic to the medication in the patch.

Go back to your neurologist and discuss it with him, he will probably put you on other medication.

Do let us know how you get on.

Mick, I use the patch and it sticks better now than it did in the early days. The itch drove me wild for the first few weeks but has settled now and I just use the upper arms most of the time. I don't remember being itchy all over though -that sounds allergic, and best to ask your doc or PDNS. Let us know how you get on, and if anyone else can help out here with their experience that would be great.

DO read the info enclosed with the patches.

Hello Mick73 and welcome to the forum..regarding the neupro patch the only experience i have of the patch is a few years ago i tried it but found it didn't stick well after that my meds changed so i can't really say a lot about the itchy bit. However most medications do take a few weeks before they actually really work, i don't know how long you are using the patches but if you are uncomfortable with them a word with your PD nurse or Neuro could help.

Hope you get some relief soon Mick

Hi I'm a new member to the forum, i just have a question in relation to the neupro patch

Does anyone else suffer from general itchiness around the body cause by the patches, it does not necessarily have to be confined to the area where the patch is.

If so have you any advice to minimise the itching or relieve it. I follow the standard advice not to place the patch in the same area of the body the within 14 days.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
